Rob Zombie’s Three from Hell Trailer Resurrects The Devil’s Rejects
Baby, Otis and Captain Spaulding have survived the bloody finale of The Devil’s Rejects and are coming back in director Rob Zombie’s latest gore splattered epic Three from Hell. The movie has officially wrapped, and now Zombie is sharing a look at the first teaser trailer, which promises the bloodiest resurrection since Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. He offers this message to fans.
“Keep your eyes peeled for the THREE FROM HELL trailer during our show! A little preview for you all. It not often you get to watch 14,000 people watch a trailer.”
Three From Hell brings back Sheri Moon Zombie as Baby, Bill Moseley as Otis and the great Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding. The movie will be in theaters sometime in 2019. Rob Zombie hasn’t started post production, as he’s on the road with his ‘Twins of Evil’ tour, appearing alongside Marilyn Manson. That’s where he’s been showing off this first tease, which doesn’t provide any actual footage from the film.
The cast is comprised of B-Movie heavyweights, including Danny Trejo, Kevin Jackson, Wade Williams, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Clint Howard, Pancho Moler, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck, David Ury, Sean Whalen, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace, Richard Brake, Bill Oberst Jr., Richard Riehle, Dot-Marie Jones and Tom Papa.
Rob Zombie has been using his Instagram to hype the upcoming sequel. He’s also been using the Local Boogeyman store to get the word out early that his trio of reprobates is back on the road. Boogeyman recently put an awesome Baby behind bars shirt on sale in their shop, and now they are selling some pretty cool Three From Hell pins. Boogeyman will soon have plenty of more exclusive merchandise from the movie as it rolls out in grand fashion.
Rob Zombie has most recently been sharing character posters from Three From Hell, which you can also see below. These black and white one-sheet teasers have been slowly coming over the course of the last two months. First, we got a look at Bill Moseley as Otis. This was followed by Danny Trejo’s return as Rondo. Last week, we got a look at Sid Haig’s return as Captain Spaulding. There are still two more posters to come, with Sheri Moon Zombie yet to be seen as Vera-Ellen “Baby” Firefly and Jeff Daniel Phillips as Warden Virgil Dallas Harper.
You can take a look at the first Three From Hell trailer here. It’s mostly words flashing on the screen, triumphing the trio’s untimely return. Its matched up with some old footage from The Devil’s Rejects. But it’s enough to get everyone excited for what could be 2019’s greatest horror sequel. And this is a year that’s also getting a follow-up to IT, so it has its work cut out for it.
Rob Zombie Updates on ‘3 From Hell’; Don’t Expect It This Year
One of the most hotly anticipated upcoming horror movies is of course Rob Zombie’s 3 from Hell, the third installment in his “Firefly Trilogy.” For the film, Zombie will be bringing Otis (Bill Moseley), Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie) and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) back from the dead, and filming wrapped up last month on the Devil’s Rejects sequel.
Speaking with Sirius XM’s Trunk Nation, Zombie just noted that the editing process is on hold until he returns from tour later this year, so don’t expect the film in 2018.
“We’re done shooting it. And, basically, the process just stops and waits for me,” Zombie told the show. “Cause the film will just basically sit and wait till I get back from tour, which is the end of August, maybe… I don’t remember when [‘The Second Coming’] tour [with Marilyn Manson] ends… beginning of September. And then we’ll start editing. And that’ll take me through the rest of the year.”
Zombie added, “The editing will be five or six months, maybe. But I like it. I have a studio at my house, and we just bring the editors there and set up and we just sequester ourselves away. It’s actually the same studio we make the records in; we just switch out the gear.”
At this point, we’d say it’s safe to expect 3 from Hell in early-mid 2019.
Still no word on plot details for this one, but we’ll keep you posted.
The cast also includes Danny Trejo, Clint Howard, Daniel Roebuck, David Ury, Pancho Moler, Sean Whalen, Kevin Jackson, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Richard Brake, Bill Oberst Jr., Richard Riehle, Dot-Marie Jones and Tom Papa.

Rob Zombie confirms The Devil’s Rejects sequel, 3 From Hell
It was reported last fall that musician-turned-filmmaker Rob Zombie would resurrect his slain Firefly family for a third film in the series. Now, Zombie has taken to Instagram to not only confirm the news but to announce production has officially begun on the third film, which is now titled 3 From Hell.
“It’s all true! Day One shooting Three From Hell! The murder and madness continues,” he wrote in a post. Zombie also confirmed that his wife Sheri Moon Zombie and Bill Moseley will reprise their roles as Vera-Ellen “Baby” Firefly and Otis Driftwood. Sid Haig is also expected to return as Captain Spaulding.
3 From Hell is the sequel to 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, itself a sequel to Zombie’s feature film debut, House of 1000 Corpses. The three characters previously went down in a blaze of glory at the end of the previous movie, ending plans for a continuing series at Lionsgate, which was eager in the mid-2000s for more horror franchises. It remains to be seen when the film will arrive in theaters.
The Devil’s Rejects grossed $17 million on a $7 million dollar budget back in 2005, and was a tremendous success on DVD. House of 1000 Corpses grossed $12 million in 2003 after being first produced in 2000 for Universal and shelved for three years.
